The El-Hindi Center for Dialogue and Action invites you to its annual community event: United We End Racism, including

  • Racial Justice Awards: Friday, June 7th, 5-6pm at the Center for Dialogue and Action at InterFaith Works (ticketed event)
  • UWER Duck Race Community Festival: Saturday, June 8th, 10am-2pm, Syracuse Inner Harbor, open to the public

RACIAL JUSTICE AWARDS: Congratulations to the following 2024 recipients of the Racial Justice Awards: Asteir Bey, Tiffany D. Lloyd, Nevis Nasser (youth award), Hasan Stephens (Catalyst Award), and David R MacDonald (Lifetime Award.) We will honor the awardees at a ticketed event on Friday, June 7th.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT BOOTHS: Our tables and booths this year will focus on Youth and Family and/or Food Justice. Our tables are FULL, and we are excited to share with you all of our partners for this year:  UWER 2024 Community Partners

VOLUNTEERS: about 75 volunteers are needed throughout the day. Please contact Kionna for details and slots, or sign up today using this registration form.

PERFORMERS: We are booking performance slots, and hope to engage performance groups that share the diversity of our community. Please contact Andrea to request a performance slot.

FUN RUN: Our popular “Duck Race” Fun Run along the Creek Walk is back! The fun run is open for all children (and their families!) and is a .5 mile track. Runners will get water, snacks, and a prize! This year, register for one of 2 start times: either 11 am or 1 pm. Please show up 10 minutes early at the Fun Run Registration table. Fun Run Registration now open!

STEM FAIR: Thanks to SU Engineering, our event will boast a STEM fair for young and older students, to engage with projects and games throughout the day.
