SUMMARY:InterFaith Dinner Dialogues
DESCRIPTION:InterFaith Works’ Dinner Dialogues will be held on Thursday\, Sept. 22\, 6 – 8:30 p.m.\, at various local host residences and faith community locations in and around Syracuse. Gathering over a meal and discussing questions posed by a facilitator\, diverse individuals offer their personal thoughts about faith and spirituality. The facilitator guides and moderates the dialogue so participants feel comfortable sharing. \nDialogue hosts provide a simple vegetarian dinner for their guests. Eating together is a symbolic act of tolerance\, respect and understanding\, as well as an outward expression of unity among those with varied beliefs and religious traditions. Participation is free. DESCRIPTION:2016 World Interfaith Harmony Assembly attendees celebrate the many faith traditions in Central New York at the Mosque of Jesus\, Son of Mary in Syracuse. \nInterFaith Works of CNY and Women Transcending Boundaries invite you to join us as we spread the message of harmony and tolerance by showcasing and celebrating the many faith traditions in Central New York. \nThe 7th annual Syracuse harmony event\, Love is the Answer\, will be held on Monday\, Feb. 6\, 2017\, 6:30-8:00 p.m.\, at the University United Methodist Church\, 1085 East Genesee St.\, Syracuse. This event is free and open to the public – a reception at 8:00 p.m. will follow the ceremony. \nWorld Interfaith Harmony Week has been celebrated since 2010\, when it was first proposed at the United Nations General Assembly by King Abdullah II of Jordan. It provides a platform for all interfaith and good will organizations to demonstrate their impact and necessity.
